I haven't seen the original nightmare on elm street and planned on watching it before the new one but I really wanted to see it, and I loved it.
I'd never seen a film like it before, some of the acting could have been improved but I loved the concept of being killed in there dreams because it seemed so unbelievable.
I also thought it was a good twist that the teens knew the person who was doing it too. The only part I thought didn't need to be added was when the teens thought they had made it all up, that could have been left as them just not remembering what happened back then.
I loved the bloody bits on the film and it made me jump once or twice as well which wasn't expected. The main actors of the film did very well too, and of course this film gets a few extra points from me for casting Kellan Lutz even if he wasn't in the film for very long!
